Super Subbu, Netflix’s first original Telugu series, will start streaming on July 2.
The show stars Sundeep Kishan in the lead role as Subramanyam Chillukuri Rao, also known as Subbu. He is joined by Mithila Palkar, Murali Sharma, Maanasa Choudhary, Brahmanandam and others. Mallik Ram has created and directed the series.
The story follows Subbu, an ordinary young man who takes up a job as a sex education officer in the conservative village of Maakipur. With no prior experience, he tries to teach the villagers about the topic while dealing with awkward situations, family pressure, generational differences and his own personal challenges. The series mixes comedy with heart while touching on themes like consent, relationships and self discovery.
Super Subbu series will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on Netflix OTT from July 2. If you enjoy light hearted comedies with relatable characters, this one could be worth checking out.
